Guidelines for smoothly attempting Online Mock Test for the
preparation of International Informatics Olympiad 2009 |

1. You must be a registered user for
Free Online Mock Test 2009.
[Registration open till 31st July 6.00PM (IST)]
2. You should be a valid User of Free Online Mock Test 2009. |

Please follow the
following Instructions to attempt Online Mock Test |
|
| |
1. In the Home page of
www.silverzone.org you will find a hyperlink
‘Login
for Mock iiO
'09’. |

2. Soon you will be prompted for your username, password and
authenticated key value.

In case you forget your password or
Key Value please click on ‘Forgot your Password
Or Key Value’
button and follow instructions.

3. Once your Password and Key value is validated you
will come to your Home Page. |
|

My Home Page
This screen has three divisions. These three divisions denotes
‘Your status’ like your Completed Test
Papers, Incomplete Test Papers and Pending Test Papers.

Completed Test Papers :
Display the list of paper you already
attempted. By simple clicking to the Exam Code you can view your result.
Incomplete
Test Papers : Display the list of Test Paper you have started but
not completed due to some reason like Internet Connection Failure,
Power Failure or etc. etc.
- You can again start your
Incomplete Test Paper from the last question you had attended.
Pending Test Papers :
Displays the list of Test Papers which you have ordered but never
started.
- By Clicking the Examination code
you can start your examination.

Please click on Examination Code in the
Pending Examination Section. Once you click on this link you will get
a confirmation page for attempting examination, whether you want to
start your examination or not. |

4. Once you click on
‘Yes’ button, your
test paper will start.
 |

5. You will get a screen (Examination
screen) which has mainly 4 major sections.
|
|
|
|
Top Section:
In this section you can see your personal details.
|
|
|
|
Right Section:
In this section you can see the list of reviewed questions, which you
have marked for the review by clicking ‘Review’
button at the bottom section. Initially this list will remain blank.
|
|
|
|
Middle Section:
This is the main section of the screen. In this
section, you can see the Direction, questions, figures and the options
associated with it.
Directions (if any) -> To see the
direction please click on
‘Click here to see
Direction’ hyperlink right next to question text. Once you
click on this hyperlink the direction will appear in a separate
window.
Questions -> You can see your
question with the question number.
Options -> The options will be
provided with an option number and the radio button right next to it.
To attempt your question click on the radio button to the correct
option number. You can simply change your selected option by clicking
on another radio button. You can only select one option for one
question. |

Bottom Section:
You will see the following buttons at the bottom of your
screen while attempting the examination.
Review ->
Once you choose your answer and want to review it again
anytime while you attempt your examination you can simply click on
the ‘Review’ button. Your reviewed
questions list will appear on the right side of your screen as soon as you
press ‘Refresh list’ button. Later you
can directly jump to the reviewed question by clicking the question
number from the reviewed list.
Previous Question -> Click
this button when you want to see your previous question in the Test
paper.
Next Question -> Click this
button when you want to see your next question in the Test paper.
Submit ->
Click this button when you finally submit the question
paper. Once you click this button you will be asked for the
confirmation.

Please
Note : Once you confirm your submission, you will no
more be able to check or attempt the same question paper again.
After submitting you can view your
Result.

Jump ->
In case you want to jump directly to any question, you can
type the question number in the given Text Area and click on
‘Jump’ button.

About the Time
Calculation
The time allotted for
Online Mock Test is One hour just to evaluate your own
ability to finish the test in the given time period. However, the
examination window will remain open even after the allotted time to
allow you finish the examination. |
